According to an article at Sicko News, a 65-year-old woman was arrested for a college bumper sticker that has a leaf on it that looks similar to a marijuana leaf.
Tennessee police pulled Bonnie Jonas-Boggioni over and briefly detained her because they suspected that she was in possession of marijuana. The senior woman had a frightening experience as police questioned her in search for drugs. Bonnie said, “They were very serious … They had the body armor and the guns.”
The leaf in question on the sticker is actually a Buckeye leaf, which is one of many five-pointed green leaves. Bonnie was surprised at the actions of the police. She said, "It’s just amazing they would be that dumb." When a reporter advised Bonnie to take the sticker off, she replied, "I didn’t take it off. . . . This little old lady is no drug dealer."
Should police be able to question people for stickers on their car?
