Walmart Employee Charged for Cookie Theft

A 63-year-old Walmart employee was criminally charged for eating “multiple” Oreo Cookies. The Indiana woman’s cookie theft was discovered when another employee found the opened package.

After employees spotted the partially eaten package of snacks, they reviewed the store’s security footage and spotted the woman snacking on the cookies in question. When police asked about the illegal snacking, the woman admitted to stealing gum and other various snacks during her 11 years at the company.

The Portage police department and Walmart have taken the Cookie Monster behavior quiet seriously, charging the woman with a felony. When asked why she did it, she responded by saying that she didn’t have the monies to pay for it with her low wage of $11.40 an hour.
