Two teenage girls from Boston decided to cool off by pool hopping in their neighbor’s pool. The problem was that the pool that one of the girls jumped into was empty.
Chester Cook awoke to a girl franticly knocking on his door pleading to help her friend who had dove into the man’s pool. Cook called emergency services and went to check on the injured teenager.
Oddly enough, Cook is the local building inspector, the person who insures that swimming pools are safe. His pool just so happened to be empty due to repairs. “I have everything that makes the pool legal, probably a few more and we’re careful with it too,” he said.
The mother of the injured girl said that her daughter suffered from a fractured skull, broken wrist, and spinal injuries. The teenager was in critical condition after the bone cracking dive but she is expected to make a full recovery. The two teens have been charged with trespassing.
“I said why did you pick on me and the girl said, well we were just riding by and we were just looking for a place to get cool,” Cook added.
